It's no secret that I love weaving creatures into my work. Incorporating animals creates such a fun dynamic to any piece, posing as spirit animals, keen observers or even personifying individuals. So when I was approached about creating a custom family portrait using only animals, I jumped at the opportunity!

First, and most importantly, we set up a call to discuss details and vision. Then the conversation focused on unfolding each individual's personality which then helped identify which animal made the most sense. The collector also wanted to include a cherished member of the family who recently passed over the rainbow bridge so they could all remain together, fixed in time.

Through this discussion I was able to bring in additional elements into the piece, "easter eggs" if you will, that further represented the family as a whole or pertained to a specific individual's story. 

The end result, a timeless and unique family portrait to last a lifetime.
